Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya, based on the life of an Indian
painter Raja Ravi Varma hits the cinemas today. The film features Randeep
Hooda, Nandana Sen and Triptha Parashar in the lead roles. Paresh Rawal is also
playing a supporting role in the film. The movie faced many censorship issues
because of its bold scenes. Raja Ravi Varma’s granddaughter also sent a legal
notice to the director because Raja’s character portrayed in an erotic manner.
But censor board allowed releasing the film on 7 November 2014.
Akshay Kumar’s The Shaukeens will also showing in theaters
today. The film stars Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Anupam Kher and Lisa
Haydon in the lead roles. Actor Akshay Kumar will make a cameo appearance as an
alcoholic superstar. The film is a remake of 1982 film Shaukeen. The story is
about three old men who go on a trip where the meet a young lady and they try
to impress her. Akshay’s previous Movie Entertainment was also a comedy film. There will be an interesting competition
between two movies.
